2018 – Collaborator for development of a Cardio-based technology for growing laggards in hatchery farms – A tripartite collaboration with Temasek Poly and National University of Singapore.

 

2018 – Principal Consultant for AVA Agri Land tender specification and proposal development for a bio secure hatchery for a leading aquaculture player in Singapore.

 

2017 – Collaborator on Bio marker study on Abalone laggard and Selective Genetics breeding – Jointly with Temasek Poly & Oceanus Group

 

2017 to 2018 – Design, construction and delivery of RAS facility for Hatching, start-feeding, fry, freshwater smolt and post-smolt – Total – 12,000 m3 tank volume & 14,000 kg feeding/ per day – Grieg Seafood, Finnmark, Norway.

 

2017 to 2020 – Principal Consultant for the design and setup of 2-hectare Bio-secure aquaculture facility which include hatchery, nursery, grow-out and brood stock holding areas in Africa.

 

2017 to 2018 – Principal Consultant for the design and set-up of 2.3 hectares Bio-secure aquaculture facility which include hatchery, nursery and brood stock holding areas in Malaysia.

 

2016 to 2017 – Design and construction of 2 x Start-feeding RAS and 5 Smolt RAS. Total production volume of 9,000 m3 and daily peak feeding capacity of 8,500 kg. Delivery of CLEARWATER MBBR biological water treatment technology, tanks etc. Production capacity > 20 million smolt/year (@75 gram) – Marine Harvest (now MOWI) Sayward, BC Canada.

 

2016 – Principal Consultant for the design and Setup of Bio Secure Grouper/ Sea Bass Hatchery and Aquaculture farm in Malaysia

 

2016 – Principal Consultant for Site survey of 220 Acres of disused shrimps’ raceways and land for possible aquaculture grow-out use. West Malaysia.

 

2016 – Principal Consultant for Hybrid Grouper species development and ECO diversity study on endemic species in Malaysia.

 

2016 to 2017 – Construction of 2x Post-Smolt seawater RAS with a total tank volume of 5,000 m3 and a feeding capacity of 6,000 kg /day. Completed January 2018. – Grieg Seafood AS Trosnavåg, Norway.

 

2015 – Design and delivery of RAS-technology for a pike-perch plant. Total maximum feeding capacity of 735 kg /day. Tropenhaus Frutigen AG Frutigen, Switzerland.

 

2015 to 2017 – Collaborator & Technology Partner on use of Hydrocavitation technology for increasing aquaculture harvest yield – Jointly with one of the world’s largest shrimps’ producer.

 

2014 to 2016 – Feasibility study, design and project preparation for establishment of 3,750 tons/year production of Barramundi (Lates calcarifer); Denindo Integrated Fishery Industry Pvt. Ltd. Surabaya, Indonesia.

 

2013 – Design and delivery of biological treatment plant for marine hatchery for yellowtail kingfish; Acuinor SA, Chile.

 

2013 to 2015 – Design and delivery of RAS-technology for 3 salmon RAS-plants. From fry to smolt – with a standing stock capacity of 20, 135 and 255 tons, respectively. Production capacity > 6 million smolt (150g) – Grieg Seafood Hjaltland Shetland, UK.

 

2013 to 2014 – Design, construction and commissioning of RAS production plant for 300 tons/year of sturgeon and pike perch; COOP Group, Tropenhaus, Switzerland.

 

2013 – Principal Investigator for the design and use of hydrocavitation technology for Sea Bass and shrimps pond culture in Sri Lanka.

 

2012 – Principal Consultant for the design of Inland bio secure RAS Hatchery facility in Ipoh, Malaysia.

 

2012 – Principal Investigator and project Director for the development and setup of Asia first RAS Aqua hub (live seafood holding logistic hub) in Jurong Cold Hub One, Singapore. A joint development with CWT Fresh (Part of CWT Group).

 

2012 to 2013 – Design and delivery of complete RAS farming- and exhibition plant for production of 100 tons sturgeon plus caviar production – Tropenhaus Frutigen AG Frutigen, Switzerland.

 

2012 to 2013 – Design and delivery of 2 complete RAS-plants for salmon smolt with standing stock capacities of 12 and 70 tons, respectively. Delivery of salmon hatchery for up to 4 million per year fry and smolt – Icicle Seafoods (American Gold Seafood) Seattle, USA.

 

2012 to 2014 – Feasibility study, design and project preparation for establishment of 3,000 tons/year production of the hybrid catfish, Claresse; Indoalgae Akuakultur Pvt. Ltd. and Danida development Program, Jakarta, Indonesia.

 

2011 to 2013 – Design, construction and commissioning of salmon RAS plant for up to 1,600 tons/year production of super smolt or large salmon; Grieg Seafood Finnmark AS, Lebesby, Norway.

 

2011 to 2012 – Design, construction and delivery Turn-key design and delivery – 3 x salmon smolt RAS-plants for 2 x 120 kg & 1 x 160 tons standing stock – Grieg Seafood Finnmark (phase 1), Norway.

 

2011 – Principal Investigator on the investigation on possible conversion of existing shrimp culture ponds for food fish grow-out in Pahang, Malaysia.

 

2011 – Principal Investigator for the development of live support system (RAS) for shipping containers for the shipping of live sea food (sea to land) with APL (part of NOL Shipping Group) one of the world’s top shipping company. The project successfully research, designed and developed an enclosed automated recirculation water filtration and treatment system for incorporation into APL’s Live reefer container.

 

2011 – Project Director for the technical farm audit for the world’s largest Aquaculture farm (China) spanning more than 300 km.

 

2010 to 2011 – Design and construction of two turn-key salmon RAS-plants for 2 x 70 tons standing stock in 2,280 m3 production volume. Production capacity of 8 million smolt/year. Maximum daily feeding capacity of 2,950 kg – Marine Harvest (now MOWI), Phase II Sayward, BC Canada.

 

2010 – Project Director for the development of a Fully automated and online monitoring of water conditions for aquaculture farms – Horiba Instruments & Bio X Pte Ltd

 

2010 – Co-Principal Investigator (with Surbana Technologies) for the development of Multiple storey land-based food-fish breeding system (RAS) with Surbana Technologies. This project leverages off high intensity vertical fish farming as an “engineering” solution to solve this issue.

 

2009 to 2011 – Design, construction, delivery and commission of 2 salmon smolt RAS-plants with standing stock capacities of 12 and 70 tons, respectively. Hatchery Production capacity – 2.5 million per year fry and smolt – Salmar AS Follafoss, Norway.

2009 to 2011 – Principal Investigator for the Ministry of National Development (MND) Research Fund Grant on “Ecological Land Based Aquaculture – Farming of food fish in Urban environment”. Multi-million-dollar MND grant to fully develop a high intensity & high yield aquaculture RAS farming system using minimum space and labour through the integration of people, technology and business system – Singapore.

 

2008 to 2009 – Design and delivery of salmon smolt plant with 15 tons standing stock capacity – Lakeland Smolt Ltd, Argyll, Scotland

 

2007 to 2008 – Design, construction and delivery of a RAS salmon smolt plant for 70 tons standing stock – Grieg Seafood AS Lebesby, Norway.

 

2000 to 2003 – Design and construction of commercial ornamental coral fish hatchery; Agatti Island – Lakshadweep Islands group, West Indian Ocean, Lakshadweep Development Corporation and Aquaculture, Advanced Systems Pte Ltd. India.

 

1998 to 2001 – Construction and management of salmon hatchery for up to 7.5 million fry and smolt. This is the world’s first commercial RAS plant for commercial smolt production. Kinloch Damph Pvt. Ltd, Lochcarron, Scotland.

 

1997 to 2000 – Design and dimensioning of combined land-based RAS and net cage lake production of catfish and Tilapia – Kalani Industries Pte Ltd, Gujarat State, India.
